Hallelujah!
thanks for joining us for another daily encouragement from our daily bread our reading titled Hallelujah was written by Lisa Samra
astonishingly it took Honda only 24 days to write the orchestral music for the Messiah oratorio today perhaps the world's most famous musical composition one performed thousands of times every year around the world the Magnificent work reaches its climax nearly two hours after it begins with the most famous part of the oratorio the Hallelujah Chorus as the trumpets and timpani announce the beginning of the chorus voices layer on top of each other as the choir sings the words of Revelations 11:15 and he shall reign forever and ever it's a triumphant Declaration of the hope of Eternity in heaven with Jesus
many of the words in the Messiah come from The Book of Revelation the Apostle John's account of a vision he had near the end of his life describing events culminating with the return of Christ in Revelation John returned again and again to the theme of The Return of the resurrected Jesus to earth when there would be great rejoicing but the sound of choirs the world will rejoice because Jesus will have defeated the powers of darkness and death and established a kingdom of Peace one day all the people of heaven will sing together in a magnificent choir proclaiming the Majesty of Jesus and the blessing of his part ever rain until then we live work pray and wait and Hope
today's our daily bread devotional scripture reading is from Revelation chapter 11 verses 15 through 18
the seventh angel sounded his trumpet and the real loud voices in heaven which said the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah and he will reign forever and ever and the 24 Elders who were Seated on their Thrones before God fell on their faces and worshipped God saying we give thanks to you Lord God Almighty the one who is and who was because you have taken your great power and have begun to rain the nations were angry and your wrath has come the time has come for judging the dead and for awarding your servants the prophets and your people who Revere your name both great and small
and we're destroying those who destroy the Earth
I pray Lord thank you for the assurance that you will reign forever and ever and we lose heart remind us of this and fill us with your peace thank you God it's in Jesus name we pray amen
