 welcome to the prayers of Wrath podcast I'm your host and treated to choose and this week in our praying through hard emotion season we are praying through the lonely in this is a time of year that is hard I know for many of us as others gather with family and loved ones many of us struggle with feeling lonely and unseen and unknown and so I hope that this week the sprayer and the interview later this week will serve to invite you in God's presence when you're struggling with loneliness

 today's reading comes from Psalm 73 verses 23 and 24
 yes I am always with you
 you hold me by my right hand you guide me with your counsel and afterward you will take me into Glory
 let's begin by reciting God's goodness praising him for who he is and for what he has done in our lives
 Lord guide
 thank you that you will never leave us we will never forsake us
 even when other people in our lives those we know and love and Trust even if they turn their backs on us you will never do that
 because you have called us by name we are yours you have invited us into the family of God and those you adopt you never turn away
 there is nothing hidden from your sight and yet you love us
 because of Christ Jesus
 it's a thank-you I even when I feel alone
 you are always by my side
 take some time now to think back on a moment when you felt lonely
 can you recognize God's presence with you even during that time
 talk to him about that
 recite his goodness in your life
 we move now to express our needy this
 I confess that there are times when I feel lonely
 I long for the someone to you know me just as I am someone with which to share the choice in the hardships everyday life, I know that you are always with me
 but would you give me a sign of your goodness in my life
 help me become more aware of your presence with me by my side within me through your spirit Welling in me
 you got in your timing and in your perfect Provident would you bring into my life friends
 who would know and love and expect me all of me
 as I am
 surround me with flesh-and-blood Community who might image you are loved in my life and very real and tangible ways
 as we speak God's Donis together take a few moments to become aware of God's loving presence surrounding you and developing you
 comforting you
 right now this very moment
 be held in his loving embrace
finally let's trust God's faithfulness together
 who got even though I've never seen you you have proven yourself
 more than enough time and time again you are at the Lover of My Soul
 you're the one who knows me and most intimately and tell not repelled
 because of your loving kindness in Christ Jesus
 so help me now to rest
 in your presence
 with me
 going before me and behind me and beside me and within me
 and through your spirit God Empower me the others
 you are lonely and alone right now and to reach out to Ben to express your love towards them
 rather than waiting for someone to come and invalidate me and seen in love God will you make me your instrument of love in someone else's life
 they might know that they are not alone
 you might know the God who sees and knows and hears and provides
 oh God I trust you I trust you to take this hard hard time of loneliness and to make it into something beautiful as only you can
 have you end your time of prayer
 trust God open your eyes to see people in your life who are lonely
 and Trust his Spirit leave you
 that you might show his love and kindness with others today
 not to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy to the only God our savior be glory and Majesty power and authority through Jesus Christ Our Lord before all ages now and forevermore amen
