you know that feeling when you've messed up so badly that you just want the ground to open up and swallow you whole just disappear off the face of the planet yeah that's happened to me too and is easy to wonder in that moment if we just totally messed up God's plans for our lives to secretly we might wonder if not just wants to give up on us after all we'd probably give up on ourselves at this point to when we
 welcome back to the prayers of Wrath podcast I'm your host ashrita choo choo and this season we are resting in the promises of God specifically it today we are praying through God's promise to fulfill his plans for us and if you related to what I said in the beginning of this episode and I want to make sure you stick around and pray for you got powerful product here in this Cottage as we begin take a deep breath and quiet your heart as we become aware of God's loving presence around us and within us
 today's passage comes from Romans chapter 8 verses 28 and 29
 we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose for those God for knew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his son
 let's begin by reciting God's goodness
 oh God you are the author of all good things
 and you make no mistakes
 God before the creation of the world you knew each one of us you chose each one of us to be a part of your family you have not because we were so attractive or because we were going to be so perfect quite the opposite when we were yet sinners Christ Jesus died for us
 so that it is your own heart of compassion it is your own goodness busier own Holiness and perfection
 it is all of who you are that works out your perfect will and our lives God I praise you for your promise that you will always fulfill your plans for us because you are the one who is working out all things for our good and For Your Glory
 take a moment now to reflect on This Promise of God that he will fulfill his plan for your life and that is not contingent on your behavior it is all-powerful and Almighty who is doing that work so praise him for who he is and for the goodness that he has shown for you and your own life
 let's continue Now by expressing our neediness
 thank God we confess that our own plans for our lives are most often selfish they're centered on our own dreams for the future on our own visions of greatness first Salvatore or Comfort or whatever it is that drives us to wake up in the morning and then pursue a long day of work
 our own vision for our lives a small
 we are myopic we see only what's in front of us that you guys see the big picture
 you are the one who knows our end for my beginning you are the one who knit us together in our mother's room and you are the one who is working out all things in our lives or used even the Bad and the Ugly and the hard stuff for more mass and shape us and give us the Contours of Jesus Christ himself it is your spirit who is working in us the fruit of love and joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness self-control we are your people and you are forming and shaving us and to those who bear a resemblance
 then I'll tell God the needs that heavy on your heart today if there is sin confessed that and receive with gladness and great joy the Forgiveness that he freely offered to you and Christ Jesus
 now it's time to seek his Stillness
 to take a few moments to rest in the knowledge in the assurance that God is sovereign
 that he is powerful
 he is good and he will always accomplish his will for your life no matter what obstacles might come in the way you can rest in the certainty that God will fulfill his plans for your life and his plans are always for good
 so you can rest in him
 finally let stress God's faithfulness
 Lord God
 your loving kindness reaches to the heavens and your faithfulness stretches across the skies
 your compassion and your goodness you're deeper than the ocean
 thank God you promise that you will continue to fulfill your promises even when we doubt even when were weary even when we've had a bad day
 horror bad here
 God we praise you that your good purposes are not supported by our frail human attempts and it's because if your greatness of your power
 also your mercy and compassion that we can rest in you
 knowing that you will use whatever means necessary to shape us into the image of Jesus and that also you are working all things out for good. As you and this time of year are the clear your confidence and God's faithfulness reminding your own heart and soul that God is who he said he is and he will do what he said he will do in the world and in your life 2
 don't see him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy to the only God our savior be glory and Majesty power and authority through Jesus Christ Our Lord before all ages now and forevermore amen
