what a privilege it is for us to gather together to know that no matter where we are no matter what happened yesterday God listens to our prayers and I'd love that and so it is with that confidence that we move forward here in our time of prayer
 you're listening to the prayers of rest podcast I'm your host ashrita choo choo and the season we are resting in the promises of God today is officially we are praying through God's promise to always be with us so take a deep breath and quiet your heart as we become aware of God's loving presence around us and within this very moment
 today's reading comes from Matthew 28:20 and surely I Am With You Always to the very end.
 So let's begin by reciting God's goodness praising him for who he is and for what he has done in our lives
 the guy that you are the ever near God you are the one who created this world and set it into motion and stayed with it
 you are not absent you did not abandon the work of your hands you our presents continued to to do well with your people of your glory and I think of the Israelites
 even before that Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden in and you got to go to walk with them in the morning when the Dew was still on the leaves
 I dare you to walk and talk I can't even picture that type of face-to-face closeness to you
 Viet
 the culminating moment of you our presents with us is Emmanuel God With Us
 I praise you God for the gift of your presence
 so the next few moments thank God for the good gifts of his presents with you
 now we move to time to express our neediness
 is it time to infest our need for God's forgiveness
 to receive his cleansing of all our sin and the relief of the burdens that we brings him
 oh God we confess
 that's so often even though many of us have grown up with this great promise of your presence
 do we forget
 do we don't really pay attention we don't really cherish this wonderful truth that you God are living in us for your spirit
 it's like we've become accustomed to a precious treasure and no longer value it as we should
 we forget that it is your spirit that is alive in us
 we forget that Jesus commandment is not to try harder or do more but to abide in him
 to rest to abide
 is there sin that you need to confess
 is there something that you want to hand over to him
 and place it in his loving care take time out to talk to through Jesus
 so now we move into a time of seeking his Stillness
 becoming aware of his presence within us and with us
 to take time now to just be still with God
 is there anything that he wants to say to you
 and now it's time to trust God's faithfulness
 to declare our confidence that God is who he says he is and he will do what he said he will do
 until it's take time now to trust God faithfulness
 oh my God thank you
 that you are a Creator God who is present in his creation who is actively seeking us out and searching us and drawing us to yourself
 I think of a psalmist word + 100 + 139 where would I go if I go to the Mountaintop you are there and if I go in in the dark is deepest hole into the depths of Hell God your presence is everywhere in this Cosmos
 north south and east to west there is no
 CM on this planet that is outside of your presents your your spirit rose the Earth searching for men and women who hurts whose hearts are devoted to you committed to you and to all those who believe in you you give us the right to become children of God you place your own spirit inside of us
 so in the next few moments take time to trust God's faithfulness
 can I invite you to think of a time in your day or in your week when you are most likely to question with a cross with you when it when you are most likely to feel alone and lonely picture that moment in your mind
 and then picture got spirit in you his presents with you
 and then say God I trust you I trust that this promise is true and I choose to trust the next time I find myself in that situation I will remember that you promised to always be with me I trust you
 just take some time now to talk to your heavenly father
 now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy to the only God our savior be glory and Majesty power and authority through Jesus Christ Our Lord before all generation now and forevermore amen
