welcome back my friends this is the morning mindset in case you didn't know this is where we come together every day as Believers in Jesus Christ to get our minds aligned with truth of God I'm thankful that you're here I'm hopeful that you're ready to get your mind and your heart a line with God's truth so that you can live this day for his glory and for his sick let's not think about tomorrow and the day after that let's think about this day we have a lot before us let's get started Proverbs 23 17 through 18 is what we're going to be looking at today and it's titled this morning keep things in perspective and what is perspective perspective is what enables us to see
 the importance of things as compared to one another correct riddle to see what's more important what's less important and how to order and prioritize those things that is a vital skill for us to have Proverbs 23 7318 is teaching us one of the things we need to have in mind in keeping things in perspective he says do not let your heart Envy Sinners why is that a warning I mean why is he died in us to understand that this is something to be avoided what's because we often can see what's going on in the life of someone who is doing wrong things and think man they're having all the fun or is there doing that and there's no consequence so why couldn't I do that you see how there's this little deception that's going on
 the focus is no longer on whether the action that's being done is simple or not whether he's honoring to God or not the focus is now on the benefit that's coming from that action and is that benefit something I want or not that's why it's a woman uses the word envy do not let your heart Envy Sinners you see we're not to want the result they're getting because the action that they're using to get that result is not a righteous action we see that in the next phrase where he says but be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day
 so instead of wanting what seems to be the result of that Sinners actions were to be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day she zealous is a word that they're intentionally because it takes discipline and diligence to stay on track in our desire to fear the lord especially as he says all the day she were to keep our Focus there where to keep things in perspective and verse 18 drives this point home for surely there is a Hereafter and your hope will not be cut off
 you see what he's saying is what that Sinners engaged in is a temporary thing it's not going to last very long in fact in view of the Hereafter it's a very small thing
 but if your zealous for the fear of the Lord everyday of your life and all day if you're doing what you can to keep your focus on him keep things in perspective as they should be your hope will not be cut off that goal that ambition you're aiming for at the end of life when the Hereafter becomes the Here and Now
 you're going to be happy that you stuck to your guns and you held with Integrity to the fear of the Lord all the day you see friends keeping things in perspective is not always that easy is it we get drawn away by the enticements of the world and they promised us things that are not true things that will not come about and that even if we do receive a little bit of pleasure or benefit from that thing it's short-lived and we are to keep things in perspective
 is a friend's one of the ways we can keep things in perspective history prayer is to keeping our hearts humble before I got going to him with our request going to him with our need wisdom and her need for strength to be zealous for the fear of the Lord and asking him to be our help in this life that we live

 Lord we see how important it is that we keep things on track in our own hearts and in our own minds that we not let our hearts and be Sinners and desire the results that they appear to be getting but rather that we remain zealous for the fear of the Lord all day long we want to honor you we want to fear you and respect you as you deserve and we ask you to bring about the result of that desire and that veal that our hope will be in you and it will be rewarded One Day More to help us keep things in perspective and now get drawn away by the things that really don't matter and won't bring good in the end in Jesus name
