hello my friends welcome back Carrie green here it's time for the morning mindset I hope you are ready today to get your mind a line with the truth of God we are doing so so that we can leave this day for his glory and in a way that brings about his good in the world and in our lives today our topic is how to get riches honor and life did you know the Bible tells us how to accomplish those things it's in the form of a proverb it's a wise saying that is generally true that if we follow its principal we can see the wisdom and the power of God manifested in their lives when they get there in just a moment but before we do I want to tell you about a resource that might be helpful to you as you listen to the morning meds every day and that's the morning I said companion Journal journal with various forms of note taking already built into the journal so that you can use it as you listen to morning
 each drop-down thoughts make sketches create memory verses for yourself all kinds of things that will help you internalized better what you're learning on the morning mindset there is a link in the description for this episode where you can find out all about it all right let's talk about how to get riches honor in life we're looking at Proverbs chapter 22 and today we've reached verse 4 verse 4 reads this way it says the reward for humility and fear of the Lord
 is riches and honor and life
 so do you notice that Solomon is setting down kind of like a math formula if you do this plus this this is going to be the results, like saying two plus two is going to give you for that is just a logical way that it works now in this passage Solomon is telling us if you are a person who seeks humility
 and in that place of humility you are fearing the Lord which we're going to Define in just a moment if those two things are going together it's like the two in the two you put those together and what is the answer what's the result of its riches and honor and life so you're going to prosper in other words good is going to come to your life people are going to look at you in an honorable way they're going to respect who you are and you're going to inherit and receive life now that I think is God saying I'm going to prosper you in terms of your life I'm going to give you eternal life eventually if it is for sure one thing that it means but friends you see how this proverb this General saying out of principle of like kind of like the law of gravity you know if you jump up you're going to fall down you see this is that sort of a principal
 that there are actions and reactions and the action here is to cultivate a heart of humility heart that sees God as your money Creator and yourself as his creature in that position of right relationship with God you were able to see things with wisdom you don't puff yourself up too much you don't make too much of yourself in your own life you make great things of God and you let others know how great he is you see that place of humility brings us to this characteristic that the Proverbs in the song fear of the Lord and his fear of the Lord is a deep deep humility it's a place of deep respect for God it's a place where we recognize his vast awesomeness compared to our
 real human sinfulness you see there's this Chasm between us and him and when we see that Chasm clearly and we can admit it in our heart of hearts and we can put ourselves in a place of respecting on wonder before him then we see clearly friends to live out a life that brings the things God is saying come about from the humility and the fear of the Lord that he's encouraging here and that is riches and honor and life and don't think of the riches only in terms of monetary and financial their riches in relationships there are riches in Opportunities there are riches in places we live in things we experience God blesses those who humble themselves before him and fear that reminds me of the passage for the New Testament that says humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up
 oh God we give ourselves to you today to be humble and
 people who fear you don't we ask you to work those things in our lives make it through deep down in our hearts words so that we as your people can honor you that from that place of humility and fear we look to you to provide for us those riches in life that honor and that overall life that causes us to flourish like Joseph did in the Old Testament in the Old Testament through all these hardships look we want to flourish because you give this riches on her in Life or make it for your name sick in Jesus name
 our dearest Lord Jesus we thank you and we praise you and we just bless your name for being such a great God we are praying here at the end of these episodes for World spiritual Revival book has we want your name to be exalted what the people of this Earth to see you as the Great and Mighty God that you are and to have their lives transformed through the humility that comes from acknowledging you was King but we're asking you to bring transformation to our world to bring about hearts of humility hearts that fear you and the Lord from that place you would cause us to experience the riches and the honor and the life that you have to give Lord make your name great Among Us make yourself The King The Shining Light that everyone looks to any safe Lord please bring it about in our day in Jesus name
