a friend's welcome back to the morning mindset carry here I hope you're ready to get your mind online with the truth of God for this day I want to say a special welcome to those of you who are listening on the continent of Africa were who were from the Middle East I'm looking at my map today that shows me where people are listening and I see that people are listening in Jordan and Israel and Saudi Arabia in Egypt and Sudan and Ethiopia in Somalia all over the Middle East are people listening thank you so much I see in Africa people are listing in Algeria and Morocco in Mali and Niger thank you for listening you know but there are some countries in those areas where people are not listening and I would love it if you know someone one of these countries to share the morning mindset with and what are they are there is Eritrea there's Yemen there's Chad for Central African Republic there's a Republic of the Congo and a handful of others if you know anyone
 in those countries please share the morning I sat with them we would love to see God's word penetrate into these areas where it's not yet been heard thanks so much for your partnership in that or today I want to encourage you along with the scriptures not to hide your sin
 not to harden yourself in such a way that you're concealing the wrong that you done because there is a very detrimental thing that comes about when we do that let's read Proverbs 28 verse 13 and 14
 it says whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper
 but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain Mercy blessed is the one who fears the lord always but whoever hardens his heart will fall into calamity
 there's two different approaches to send that are being highlighted here that really amount to the same thing one of them is to conceal our transgression that you know that we're transgression right that means sent it's a bigger word for the word sent that saying whoever conceals his sin will not Prosper so you're not going to move ahead in life you're not going to see success in the things that you do if you conceal your scent know you're probably spend two or three episodes talking about why this is but on a very basic level of sin is a destructive force it has painted the entire world that we live in it is it has even painted the human psyche and soul to the point that we are separated from our God so you can see sin is a very destructive force and when we could seal it kind of burrows down into the crevices and crannies of who we are as human beings and it corrupt
 from the inside out but notice the promise it says whoever confesses and forsakes his scent will take Mercy now the implication here is that we will receive Mercy from God when we confess a cigarette since all ultimately that's what we're going to do we want to go to God with our sin in the name of Jesus and ask him to place the burden of our sent on to Jesus Christ on the cross to make us one with him and to receive from him forgiveness and mercy about that sent and he cleanses us from all unrighteousness it's really an amazing gifts that God has given us the next verse gives us a little more insight to what is really happening here it says blessed is the one who fears the lord always but whoever Harden his heart will fall into Calamity you see fearing the Lord is a state of humility assistant of putting herself under his authority and saying Lord
 can I hide my send you see it anyway I'm going to make it known to you I'm going to confess it to I'm going to agree with you that my sin is indeed send and let you cleanse me let you bring about good in my life
 because you going to bring blessing into my life when I do that
 but they want it says whoever hardens his heart will fall into Calamity that's kind of the same thing as hiding you're saying it said no I am not going to listen I'm not going to admit that I've been wrong I'm going to resist what God is saying to me when he tries to point out my send to me you see friends all of that is just a fruit of sin itself it's Pride it's resisting the reality of our condition is like being a cancer patient in not admitting you and you need help at admitting that you really have a cancer friends Our Lives can be transformed into confessing our sins and pronouncing and forsaking it
 and receiving the grace of God would you do that today would you do it with me
 Lord Jesus we come to you confessing we are sinful people
 we are guilty of all kinds of things like inappropriate anger and lust in deceit and manipulation and bitterness and resentment and even some of those things Lord we have attitudes against you in those ways
 we asked you because of your great Mercy because of your great grace to forgive us to prosperous because of your grace and grow Us in the fear of you or we would don't want our hearts to be hardened we want to rest in you
